Twiggy

Here I have created another pen drawing, this one is of a female model Twiggy. Another woman icon of mine. I have always had this love for Twiggy, as I am really into fashion so I find her fashion to be rather groovy. So I would say that Twiggy is a large fashion icon. I do find this piece to be rather successful, and I can't want to explore more of her through my art.

Audrey Hepburn

I have truly found a love for drawing in pen, and I just have loved drawing one of my woman icons. I have such a strong love for Audrey Hepburn, she is so elegant and kind hearted. My love started for her after watching her most famous movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's,' she truly shone in the movie. I then grew to love 'Paris when it Sizzles', 'Sabrina' and 'Roman Holiday.' She is truly a person that I will always hold my love for, and I can't wait to improve my skills as an artist and be able to really explore the wonderful Audrey Hepburn.

Kate Miller-Heidke

Here I have created a drawing to what looks to be Kate Miller-Heidke, a singer who has the most beautiful voice. She is like an angel. To be totally honest I never intended the art piece to end up looking like her, but I guess it did, and I am rather proud that, because I really do love Kate Miller-Heidke. To create this piece I use a 6B and 2B grey lead, while also using a smudging stick to help with the shading. I stuck this piece on my wall near my music sheets, because I thought that that spot looked rather empty, but right now I just thought of the reasoning for it. Kate Miller-Heidke place near music sheets because she is a singer. Well I thought it was rather creative in a accidental way.

Kooky Pen Drawings

Here I have created what I like to call some kooky pen drawings. I have only used pen and black fine liner to help highlight certain areas. I have always loved drawing with only pen, as its what I do when I am in class and I find it rather boring. I find I can concentrate a whole heap better when my hand is moving across a page, creating something new.

For My Aunty Jo

This piece was created for my Aunty Jo, for her 40th birthday. My intention for this piece was to create a image of night, but in a kooky and different way. I have lately been creating paintings that have been either done on old music sheets or news paper, and as you can see this pice has been created on top of news paper. I find when painting on ripped paper you can really explore different shapes and textures, as here the ripped new paper has helped me bring about the shape of the mountains.

Old Lady

Here I have created a drawing of an old woman, the original piece was done by an artist named Claire Ongley. I find her work to be very beautiful as it is mostly based around old people. I have a strong fascination for old people as there faces have so much to tell, as they  have lived through wars and experienced many exciting or tragic events. This piece that I created would be my best realistic drawing I have completed, as I find it was much more challenging then the other pieces I created.
Sorry I couldn't flip this image around!
