For My Granny

Join Me For a Pot of Tea

This piece was originally created for my Grandmother, Sue. I thought it really captured mine and her relationship we share with each other. It reminds me of the time when I stayed there as a kid, we would wake up extra early in the morning to share a special pot of tea, using only the best pots. I have never met anyone that has so many beautiful pots.

For My Sister

This piece was originally made for my older sister, on her birthday. It has been created on music notes, giving it a very interesting effect. The painting is of pink blossoms falling from a trees. I have always had a love for blossoms, as they remind me of the Disney movie Mulan, and I find her to be quite a beautiful character.

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe
Here I have created a drawing of Marilyn Monroe. I drew this image as I find her to be an amazing woman, she is filled with so much untold beauty. I find her as a person to be very inspiring, she gives me all these ideas through art. I gained this obsession of Marilyn after I watch the movie "My Week With Marilyn." The personality that the actress showed of Marilyn was very beautiful, it really made me fall in love with her.

Me

I am new to the whole blog thing, so I am show casing some of my old work that I have done in the middle of the year.
I am very fond of art, I am only an amateur in the arts as I am only 16. I am still in school so its hard to keep up with my art, but every chance I get I will draw or paint, or sometimes take photo's. I haven't really found my true passion yet, I do really enjoy photography as I just love capturing a moment, I find a lot of inspiration through different people. I find my true inspiration in Melbourne, there are so many different people, I just can't get enough of it all. The graffiti, old houses, homeless people, people that are just so different its amazing. I could just spend hours or even days there. I also love Frankie Magazine, I find the artiest in there are just so amazing, every 2 months its different. The articles also give me ideas of were I am going to go next with my pieces of work.
So stay tuned and I will be posting some new work.

Living on a Hand

This piece has been created with a feeling of confusion and freedom. I am trying to show a form a=of happiness to those that feel trapped.

This piece has been designed from my original piece using different materials. The hand has been embroidered onto a recycled shirt and music sheet.

The Lion King

Original Piece
This piece has been done using only a grey lead of 6B and H, to also help form the shadow I have used a smudging stick.

I have created this piece using a background of different coloured inks, the lion has then been printed on a special material called acetate, it has them been photocopied onto the background of the coloured inks.
